Hurriyat Isroilova shares what kind of students Yulduz Usmonova and Ozoda Nursaidova were

Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Hurriyat Isroilova was a guest on the "Omon-omon" program, where she shared memories of her students — Yulduz Usmonova and Ozoda Nursaidova — during their university years.

According to her, Yulduz Usmonova studied in the traditional performance department of the conservatory first, followed by Ozoda Nursaidova a year or two later. Their behavior and demeanor made it clear that they would become famous artists in the future. Both were good students. At that time, both Yulduz and Ozoda performed at weddings and were creative. However, because both were very blunt, she often advised them that they "needed to hold their tongues."

Hurriyat Isroilova noted that she particularly advised Ozoda Nursaidova many times to respect her elders and to find her place through her art. In her opinion, when they first entered the world of art, there was no such thing as competition or jealousy. After the 90s, instances of competition, envy, and undermining one another increased in the art world.

"Sometimes, when Ozoda would miss class, I would get angry and scold her, saying, 'You are not Ozoda, you are Nursaid, where are you?' She would always reply, 'I'm coming, I'm on the way,' but she would still arrive late. She would show up just as the five- or six-hour lesson was ending and apologize, saying, 'Dear Hurriyat opa, please forgive me, I was at a wedding and got held up.'"

"I loved both Yulduz and Ozoda like my own sisters. They respected me as well. A person's respect and reputation depend, first and foremost, on their behavior," the artist concluded.
