Major drug trafficking channel uncovered in Tashkent: 67,000 doses of synthetic drugs seized
Law enforcement agencies prevented an attempt to distribute a large batch of synthetic narcotics that could have caused serious harm to thousands of people. A total of 3 kilograms of a banned substance were seized from illegal circulation, equal to about 67,000 single doses. This was reported by podrobno.uz. reports .
The operation was carried out as part of special measures conducted jointly by the Main Department of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service. The suspect was detained in the Bektemir district of the capital with 2.2 kilograms of packaged “synthetics.”
Further checks in Jizzakh Region found another 800 grams of synthetic substance at the detainee’s home. It is noted that the drugs were hidden by being buried in the ground.
During questioning, the suspect said he understood the severe consequences of his actions, but committed the crime in pursuit of “easy money” and due to family problems. The court ordered pre-trial detention. A criminal case has been opened under Article 273 of the Criminal Code, which предусматривает imprisonment for up to 20 years.
