It became known who changed the speed limit sign in Angren

In the city of Angren of Tashkent region, a case of “playing” with traffic rules attracted public attention. It is being said that the 3.24 — “Maximum speed limited” sign installed on Obod turmush street was changed by unknown persons.
As can be seen in the videos spread on social networks, in the place where the speed norm on the road sign should have been 60, an indicator of 70 appeared. This situation also raised in many people the question: “who is controlling safety on the road?”
The regional Road Traffic Safety Department reports that inquiry work has been started on this situation and measures are being taken to identify the persons who changed the sign. At present, that road sign has been replaced with a new one and re-installed in the correct state.
Employees of the Road Traffic Safety Division of the Angren city Department of Internal Affairs are conducting an inspection in order to find the offenders. Because such “mischief” is not an ordinary joke — it is considered a serious violation that directly affects safety on the road.
For information, actions of this type lead to liability under Article 147 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. It provides liability for causing damage to roads, road structures and technical means regulating traffic, or for using them incorrectly.
A road sign is not a decoration. Changing even one number can affect someone’s life, health and safety. Therefore, this case is not regarded as “just a joke”.
