Tashkent Street and Babur Park opened in Islamabad

The events of the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pakistan are continuing. Another important event of this program took place on February 5 in the city of Islamabad: one of the capital's streets was named "Tashkent," and a ceremony was organized to name the new park after our great ancestor Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

At the ceremony, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that this decision vividly reflects the close historical and spiritual ties between the two countries, the common cultural heritage, and the close relations between the peoples. According to him, the appearance of a street named "Tashkent" in Islamabad and the creation of a new park named after Babur once again confirm that Uzbek-Pakistani multifaceted cooperation has reached a strategic level.

In particular, the name Babur has a symbolic meaning. Because Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur is historically recognized as a great person who spiritually connected the two peoples. Therefore, the park named after him is considered not just a green area, but a vivid sign of a firm commitment to further strengthening the bonds of mutual respect, friendship, and kindness.
In short, Tashkent Street and Babur Park in Islamabad are vivid proof that the relations between the two countries are being strengthened not on paper, but in real life. Names were given today, and tomorrow the friendship behind these names is expected to turn into even bigger things.
