Pupils of state kindergartens are vaccinated against the flu free of charge

Until the end of February, all children in state preschool educational organizations (PEOs) will be vaccinated against the flu free of charge. This was reported by the press service of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee.

According to the information, 520 thousand doses of influenza vaccine were purchased at the expense of state funds and distributed to the regions. This comprehensive measure aims to protect children from severe flu complications, particularly pneumonia, bronchitis, and otitis.

The committee's statement emphasized that influenza viruses will continue to circulate actively in February-March. Vaccination develops immunity in the body within 10-14 days and protects children until the end of the season. Vaccination reduces the risk of infection and contributes to a milder course of the disease.

During the process, children undergo a medical examination, and only healthy children are vaccinated. The committee calls on all parents to vaccinate their children in a timely manner.
