Starting March 27, 2026, high-speed "Afrosiyob" electric trains will begin operating on the Tashkent–Shahrisabz–Tashkent route every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The new service is being introduced to make travel more convenient for passengers and to strengthen transport links between regions.
Under the announced schedule, the train from Tashkent to Shahrisabz will depart at 06:33. The return service from Shahrisabz to Tashkent will leave at 16:24. The weekend timetable is expected to give residents and visitors more options for short trips and interregional travel.
Passengers will be able to buy tickets through official ticket offices as well as online platforms. The additional "Afrosiyob" services are aimed at improving accessibility on one of the country’s important rail routes.
