A tragic incident occurred in the Beshariq district of the Fergana region, where two young brothers lost their lives after falling into a water distribution canal. Reports Podrobno.uz.
The General Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the tragedy took place on the evening of March 19 in the Bulakbashi neighborhood. According to the authorities, six-year-old Saidjon was playing near the edge of the water when he accidentally dropped his toy. While attempting to retrieve it, the young boy lost his balance and fell into the canal. Seeing his younger brother struggling in the water, eight-year-old Sanjarbek immediately jumped in to save him. Unfortunately, neither of the boys was able to get out of the water.
When the children failed to return home, their worried father went looking for them and eventually discovered them in the canal. Rescue workers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations later recovered the bodies of the two boys.
A preliminary forensic medical examination revealed no signs of violence or physical injury. The official cause of death was determined to be mechanical asphyxia resulting from drowning. The Beshariq district prosecutor's office is currently conducting a pre-investigation check, with the regional prosecutor's office closely monitoring the case to establish all the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
