The earthquake in Afghanistan was felt in several regions of Uzbekistan

On April 3 at 21:12 in the evening, a strong earthquake occurred in Afghanistan, and its impact was also felt in a number of regions of Uzbekistan, according to the Seismoprognostic Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the data, the epicenter was located 526 km southeast of Tashkent, the magnitude of the earthquake was 6, and its depth was 207 km.
The impact by regions was assessed as follows:
- In Surkhandarya region — 3 points, at a distance of 314 km;
- In Fergana region — 3 points, 420 km;
- In Namangan region — 2–3 points, 485 km;
- In Andijan region — 2–3 points, 477 km;
- In Syrdarya region — 2–3 points, 457 km;
- In Tashkent region — 2–3 points, 520 km;
- In Tashkent city — 2–3 points, 526 km.
It should be noted that this was the second earthquake observed during the day. In the morning, an earthquake that occurred in Tajikistan was also felt in the cities and regions of Uzbekistan, prompting residents to remain alert.
