Investigations Launched Against Instagram Pages Spreading Morally Inappropriate Advertisements
In Uzbekistan, the Committee for Competition has conducted research and inspections regarding certain advertisement posts circulating on social networks.
Specialists analyzed advertisement videos posted on Instagram pages actively operating under the names "aykous_sekret", "dom_penyuar", "shiray shop", "nargizem_shop", and "arzon hostel".
The investigation revealed that the content of these advertisements does not conform to the accepted norms of public morality and ethical standards.
Following the completion of inspections, formal proceedings have been initiated against the managers of the "aykous_sekret" and "dom_penyuar" stores for violations of the requirements stipulated in the Law "On Advertising".
Furthermore, administrative documents have been prepared regarding the "shiray shop", "nargizem_shop", and "arzon hostel" pages, with case materials forwarded to judicial authorities.
According to current legislation, the use of imagery and expressions in advertising that contradict national values and ethical norms is prohibited.
