Japan deported two Uzbek citizens

The Immigration Services Agency of Japan deported two citizens of Uzbekistan on April 24, 2024, for violating the country's migration laws. According to official data, these individuals failed to comply with visa regulations and had been staying in the country illegally. Uzdaily.uz reports on the matter.
It was established that one of the citizens arrived in Japan under "Student" status but lost the legal grounds for residency after being expelled from the educational institution. Despite this, the individual continued to reside in the country illegally without departing. The second citizen entered on a short-term visa and remained in Japan after the authorized period of stay had expired.
Japanese authorities reminded that short-term visas, including those for tourism, visiting relatives, or business trips, do not grant the right to engage in labor activities. Additionally, a student visa is intended solely for education; if a student is expelled, their right to remain in the country is automatically revoked.
Immigration authorities emphasized that strict measures will be taken against violators, including detention in specialized centers and deportation. The Japanese side urged foreigners not to trust intermediaries who promise employment through tourist or student visas.
