41 citizens of Uzbekistan were returned home from Iran via transit through Turkmenistan. This was reported by the Dunyo news agency.
According to the information, Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions in Ashgabat and Tehran coordinated the process. Additionally, visa and transport issues were promptly resolved in cooperation with the relevant Turkmen authorities.
The citizens were met at the Sarakhs–Serakhs and Gaudan–Bajgiran border checkpoints. It is reported that they were safely transported to the country under the supervision of diplomatic staff.
The missions emphasized that no citizen would be left without assistance. At the same time, it was stated that efforts to return compatriots are ongoing.
It is worth noting that assistance was also provided to Uzbeks returning from Iran in March.
