A traffic accident involving a traffic police officer occurred in the Vobkent district of the Bukhara region. Following the circulation of videos on social media, the regional Road Safety Department issued an official statement regarding the incident.
It is reported that the incident took place on April 27 around 09:05 on Imam Bukhari Street in the Vobkent district. A traffic police officer, Yo. Mavlonov, while driving his Cobalt car, struck a girl born in 2009, S.N., who was crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing.
As a result of the accident, the girl sustained minor injuries. According to reports, the driver took the victim to the hospital to provide initial medical assistance.
It is also stated that the officer was sober while on duty and possessed all necessary documents to operate the vehicle.
Currently, a pre-investigation check is being conducted by the Vobkent District Prosecutor's Office regarding this incident.
