A court verdict has been announced regarding a horrific crime that took place in the Dangara district of the Fergana region. A 29-year-old man who brutally murdered his mother has been sentenced to a long prison term.
According to reports, a dispute over money broke out between the mother and son on the day of the incident. During the argument, the accused struck his mother several times on the head with an axe he was holding. As a result, the woman sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.
Investigation materials state that the man then attempted to hide the traces of the crime. He buried the victim's body in a part of the garden and the head behind the outdoor toilet. He then fled the scene.
As a result of operational measures carried out by law enforcement agencies, the crime was uncovered and the suspect was apprehended.
According to the verdict of the Dangara District Court, the accused was found guilty under Article 97, Part 2, Clause "j" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The court sentenced him to 18 years of imprisonment.
