A disturbing incident involving a minor girl has occurred in the Andijan region. On May 7, it was revealed that a group of women carried out a vigilante attack on a 16-year-old girl. This was reported by the Andijan Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
How did the conflict begin?
According to preliminary information, a dispute arose between a girl born in 2010 living in Asaka district and a woman born in 1997 living in Shahrikhan district due to comments on the social network Instagram.
A simple argument initially turned into insulting correspondence and then into a sharp conflict. The parties agreed to meet to settle the matter.
Vigilante justice and video recording
Later that afternoon, the girl and her acquaintance, as well as the woman with several of her acquaintances, went to a hilly area on the border of Asaka and Marhamat districts.
It was there that the minor girl was pressured, insulted, and forced to apologize. Most regrettably, this process was filmed and distributed on social networks.
Investigation launched
Currently, a pre-investigation check is being conducted by the Marhamat District Department of Internal Affairs regarding this incident. A legal assessment of the actions of the individuals involved is expected.
Experts emphasize that such cases are a dangerous manifestation of violence and low legal culture in society. The necessity of resolving any dispute through legal means is once again being raised as a pressing issue.
