An incident involving a Nexia-3 driver who disobeyed the lawful orders of traffic police officers in the Sirdaryo region has caused a major stir. The offending driver attempted to flee, damaging a service vehicle and creating a dangerous situation for other road users.
According to the regional Department of Internal Affairs, on May 7, traffic inspectors on duty in Yangiyer attempted to stop a Nexia-3 vehicle traveling without license plates. However, the driver ignored the inspectors' signals and tried to speed away from the area.
It is reported that during the escape, the driver damaged a service vehicle and endangered the lives of other drivers and pedestrians.
Following this, law enforcement agencies implemented a special 'block and intercept' plan. As a result, the Nexia-3 collided with a truck and was brought to a stop.
It is noted that even after being stopped, the driver refused to comply with the officers' lawful demands and actively resisted. Consequently, he was apprehended. There was one passenger in the car in addition to the driver.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under Article 219, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan — resistance to a government official. Investigative actions are ongoing.
