MIB official caught taking $1500 bribe in Khorezm

A criminal case has been initiated against an official of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement in the Khorezm region. It is alleged that he abused his official position by promising to assist a citizen in resolving tax debts.
According to reports, a state enforcement officer from the Khiva district branch of the MIB offered to clear a tax debt of 4 million 526 thousand soums for a citizen born in 1995, which was part of an enforcement document under his jurisdiction.
He also claimed he could resolve land and property taxes totaling 22 million 822 thousand soums for the citizen and his father through his official connections. In exchange, he demanded 1500 US dollars.
During an operational event conducted by State Security Service officers, the state enforcement officer was caught red-handed while receiving the money. A criminal case has been initiated, and investigation proceedings are underway.
