The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced the total amount of transactions made during the recently concluded winter transfer window.

According to estimates by experts from the prestigious organization responsible for the development of football in the world, football clubs completed a total of 5,863 transfers in January.

The total amount of these transactions amounted to 2.35 billion US dollars. This figure is a new record for the winter transfer window.

It is also worth noting that the number of player transfers also reached a record level.

English clubs spent the most in January. Clubs in the homeland of modern football spent $ 621.6 million on new players.

The ranking of the leagues by the highest cost of living was as follows:

- English clubs ($ 621.6 million)
- German clubs ($ 295.7 million)
- Italian clubs ($ 223.8 million)
- French clubs ($ 209.7 million)
- Saudi Arabian clubs ($ 202.1 million).

Experts also note that there have been sensational transfers in European football. According to them, the most sensational transfers were the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli to PSG, Abdukadir Khusanov from Lens to Manchester City, and John Duran from Aston Villa to Al-Nasr.
