Ranieri: "The main goal in this game was to avoid defeat"

"I am pleased with the boys. We expected such a game - I said this at the press conference. Therefore, the pressure from the opponent was not unexpected for us," said the experienced specialist.

Ranieri highlighted the team's determination to fight back despite the pressure from the opposition:

However, Ranieri was clearly disappointed that the attacks didn't end in a goal:

"Instead of scoring, we conceded a goal at the end of the half - that was obviously very disappointing."

At the same time, the coach expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance in the second half:

"Fortunately, we equalised early in the second half. Then we tried to win, but the main goal was not to lose. In that sense, the team fulfilled the task assigned to them."

At the end of the press conference, Ranieri highlighted the players' mental preparedness and fighting spirit:
