
The next Asian Rowing and Canoeing Championships have started in Nanchang, China. More than 200 athletes from 20 countries of the continent are demonstrating their skills at this prestigious competition.
Uzbekistan is represented by a national team of 16 athletes at the championship. They are testing their strength in various disciplines and distances.
On the first day of the competition, Uzbek rowers achieved high results and won several medals.
In particular, in the 1000-meter C-2 event, the Uzbek crew of Muhammadali Mirismanov and Diyorbek Mamatkulov showed excellent results and became silver medalists.
Also, in the 500-meter event, the pair of Kanoliddin Rahmatullaev and Azimjon Sotiboldiev took third place with their fast movements and brought the bronze medal to our team.
In the K-1 event, our compatriot Alexander Zarubin, despite strong competition, took third place in the 1000-meter race, enriching Uzbekistan's medal tally with another bronze.
It is worth noting that during the championship, athletes will compete in K-1, K-2, K-4, C-1, C-2 and mixed events, at distances of 200, 500 and 1000 meters, in fierce and exciting competitions for the continental championship.
