As part of the training camp in Tajikistan, the Andijan club held a friendly match against the local Khujand team, which ended in a 1:1 draw. After the match, the team's head coach Maxim Shatskikh gave an interview to the club's press service and spoke about the team's condition and future plans.
According to the expert, the match with Khujand was an important opportunity to test not only the team's physical condition, but also tactical skills. "We played against a good opponent. In this match, we paid attention to assessing the physical and mental preparation of the players, to examine our youth. In particular, the players who were brought in from the reserves tried to show their potential," Shatskikh said.
The head coach noted that such matches are a great school of experience for young players. "Young players play games with experienced players, draw useful conclusions, and develop their potential. This is valuable experience for them," he added.
He also noted that, although the game was played at a high pace, the quality of the field was quite poor, which affected the quality of the game. Nevertheless, it was noted that the team fully implemented the instructions given by the coaching staff on the field.
“We were able to see the efforts we made during the 5-day training in this game. We will have a day off and then continue serious preparation for the championship match against Bukhara,” said the coach.
The coach also gave a positive assessment of the organization and conditions of the training camp in Tajikistan. “All the conditions are good here, the weather is very good. There are no complaints. Training continues according to our plan. The guys are working seriously, adhering to the instructions given,” he noted.
The head coach also expressed his opinion on the legionnaires who recently left the team. “We talked to Zhurichkovic and Mashukov. They left due to disagreements with the club. But I have always emphasized: no player is guaranteed a starting lineup. Whoever plays well will get on the field,” said Shatskikh.
According to him, fairness and competition are important in football, and whoever works harder will get a chance. “We will put a player on the field with confidence who has shown himself in training. It doesn’t matter if he is a local player or a foreigner. The important thing is that whoever shows strength and ambition will play,” said the specialist.
Shatskikh added in his final words: “If a player has come on the field, he must fully comply with the coach’s instructions. This is my personal requirement, but at the same time, the law of football is the same.” Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
