A new head coach appointed for Uzbekistan U-18 national team
Today, the next meeting of the Coaching Council of the Uzbekistan Football Association took place. The agenda included preparation plans for the U-17 national team for the World Cup and the appointment of a head coach for the U-18 national team.

During the meeting, the coaching staff led by Uzbekistan U-18 head coach Askar Khalmuratov presented information on the team’s training camps, selection, and medical, psychological, and physical preparation indicators.

The members of the Coaching Council also shared their analysis and conclusions on the team's participation in international tournaments and friendly matches. It was emphasized that experience and working on mistakes will play an important role in the future activities of the coaches.

Another item on the agenda was the appointment of a new head coach for the team. Preparation of the Uzbekistan youth team for the 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup and the FIFA U-20 World Cup continues according to plan. Based on recommendations and discussions, Jamoliddin Rakhmatullaev was appointed head coach of the Uzbekistan U-18 team.

Additionally, recommendations were made regarding player selection, physical, technical, and tactical indicators, and the importance of creating proper conditions for national teams was noted.
