One of the leaders of the "Bunyodkor" team — experienced midfielder Odil Hamrobekov — may continue his career as a legionnaire.
The 29-year-old footballer is in negotiations with the "Traktorsazi" club, which is considered the current champion of Iran, local sources report. According to the sources, the agreement between the parties is close, and only technical details remain for the transfer to be finalized.
The Iranians are ready to pay "Bunyodkor" club 300 thousand euros in compensation for Hamrobekov. This amount is considered a significant investment for an Uzbek footballer.
For information, Odil Hamrobekov is a member of the Uzbekistan national team and has been recognized for several years in the Super League for his gameplay, intellectual control on the field, and accurate passing.
The “Traktorsazi” club aims to strengthen its midfield experience with this transfer. Hamrobekov’s arrival could bring great benefit to the team not only on the field but also in terms of leadership.
If the deal goes through, it will be another international experience for Odil and will mark a new stage in his career. At the same time, it is encouraging that interest from foreign clubs in Uzbek players is increasing.
An official announcement is expected in the coming days. If Hamrobekov can prove himself in the Iranian league, doors to even bigger leagues may open for him. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
