Vinicius demands 20 million, Real now reconsidering

Negotiations for a new contract between Real Madrid and its star winger Vinicius Junior have entered a heated phase. Most likely, both sides will revisit the agreement in 2026. Until then, both parties want to clarify their offers and demands.

According to initial reports, Vinicius has informed the club management via his agent that he wants his net salary to be 20 million euros per year. This was reported by the As newspaper.

Currently, the Brazilian winger is playing under a contract signed with Real in 2022. According to the agreement, he earns an average of 15 million euros per season. However, taking into account his role on the field, contribution to the team, and the overall market situation, Vinicius is demanding a higher salary.

An important detail is Real’s agreement with Mbappé. The French forward officially earns 15 million euros annually, but he also received a bonus of around 40 million euros when joining the club. That amount is being viewed as a “hidden salary.”

So far, Real is in no hurry to offer Vinicius a deal at that level. The club prioritizes maintaining balance and internal hierarchy among players.

Saudi Arabian clubs that once offered Vinicius a contract worth around 1 billion euros have now disappeared from the market. This has reduced the winger’s leverage in negotiations with Real. As a result, the positions of both parties are now balanced again.

According to those close to the player, contract discussions between Vinicius and Real are expected to resume in 2026. For now, he will continue playing at the Santiago Bernabéu under the current contract, which runs until 2027.
