7 of our boxers will participate in their first fight at the Asian Championship

From July 30 to August 12, the Asian Boxing Championship for athletes under 22 is being held in Bangkok, Thailand. The tournament features 367 participants from 25 countries — 220 male and 147 female boxers.

Today, August 1, seven Uzbek boxers will enter the ring on the opening day to fight in their first matches.

The matchups are as follows:

  • 48 kg: Maftuna Musurmonova – Alanoo Alghamdi (Saudi Arabia)

  • 54 kg: Muslima Turgunova – Janel Imantaeva (Kazakhstan)

  • 57 kg: Robiya Ravshanova – Yubeen Seo (South Korea)

  • 50 kg: Odilshoh Halimov – Akash Badwar (India)

  • 75 kg: Muhammadjon Yaqubboev – Amirmahdi Sabzi (Iran)

  • 80 kg: Norbek Abdullayev – Lokesh (India)

  • +80 kg: Islam Salikhov – Beksultan Qairatuly (Kazakhstan)
