Football is entering the digital era: New system, new rules

In Uzbekistan, football will now develop in line with the digital age. According to the Presidential Decree dated August 21, 2025, specific measures have been adopted to fully digitalize the football sector and further increase its popularity.

Based on the decree, football infrastructure will be brought in line with international standards, the number of fields will be increased, and people of all ages, especially youth, will be encouraged to regularly engage in football. The number of football participants is expected to grow.

One of the main innovations is the creation of the "National Football Electronic Platform". Starting from January 1, 2026, the training processes in football academies and schools will be monitored online, and player selection as well as their medical and physical indicators will be tracked through this system.

Additionally, from March 1, 2026, tickets for football matches will be purchased through a special online information system, which includes personal identification and QR code technology. This will enhance security and streamline ticket sales.

This initiative is an important step toward developing football in Uzbekistan to global standards, identifying talented youth, and integrating reliable digital technologies into the sports industry.
