As part of the Uzbekistan Futsal Super Cup, Brazilian football legend Douglas Maicon visited our country and attended a press conference where he answered questions from fans and journalists.
During the meeting with world football stars, one of the main topics discussed was the recent appointment of a foreign coach to the Brazilian national team.
Journalists asked how Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival was perceived in Brazil and what level of success he might achieve with the team.
Responding to the question, Maicon first expressed his gratitude to the Uzbekistan Futsal Federation leadership for inviting him as a guest, and then shared his views:
“In my opinion, bringing Carlo Ancelotti was the right decision. It has been many years since we last won the World Cup. What we needed was an experienced coach with a big school behind him. I believe Ancelotti’s vast experience and authority in football will provide great help for the Brazilian national team. With him, I am confident we can achieve our goals,” said the legendary defender.
Thus, according to Maicon, Ancelotti’s appointment marks not only a new stage for the national team but also a source of great hope for Brazilian football fans.
