Dagestani world champion Alkhasov detained in Makhachkala

According to preliminary information, the conflict was caused by another man's "excessive stare" at the athlete's wife. At that time, the woman was wearing a mask, and this situation escalated into a verbal argument between the two parties.

After the conflict escalated, it was reported that Velimurod Alkhasov used a traumatic weapon nearby and fired several shots at an unknown person.

Medical assistance was provided to the injured person on the spot. The athlete was detained shortly after by law enforcement officers.

It was reported that Velimurod Alkhasov is currently being held in the internal affairs department.
