In the second round of the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool played away against Turkish giants Galatasaray and lost 0-1. Following the match, English head coach Arne Slot shared his thoughts on Amazon Prime.
"We're disappointed"
The coach did not hide his dissatisfaction with the actions of his team in the game:
"I'm disappointed again. Both with and without the ball, we played in a completely different way than in the match against Crystal Palace. We played quite well in the first half and even had a good opportunity to open the scoring. But in some situations, especially in the penalty, the opponents managed to distract us. I can't blame Dominic Soboslai for this. They turned a 20% penalty into a 100% chance, it was very cunning."

Continuing his speech, Slot emphasized that he wasn't too far from last season:
"We are not far from the level we showed last season. But sometimes the results depend on the smallest details. The game against Galatasaray is not easy; they played very hard. A tough match against Chelsea awaits us now. Everything will be resolved in the smallest details, but again these factors are not working in our favor."
"We lost momentum in the second half"
In the manager's opinion, after the break, "Liverpool" did not play as expected:
"In the first half, I noticed a lot of positive things, and in the second half - much less. After the break, there was little ball in the game. The opposing forward fell onto the field several times, so it was difficult to maintain the tempo of the game."
