Ramazon Temirov has been suspended for one year for a banned substance

The tragic news surrounding the fate of Uzbek UFC fighter Ramazon Temirov has been officially confirmed. According to the Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) organization, Temirov was suspended from fights for one year for using a prohibited substance - trimetazidine (TMZ).

Trimetazidine is a drug used mainly for heart failure and various cardiological diseases and is included in the UFC anti-doping program in the class of hormonal and metabolic modulators. The use of this substance under any circumstances is strictly prohibited.

According to CSAD data, the first sample taken from the athlete was tested on June 12, 2025, in Thailand during the non-competition period and showed a positive result. However, since the fighter did not learn about this, the second inspection conducted on July 4 was also assessed as a single violation according to the rules.

During the conversation, Temirov did not hide the fact that he used TMZ and emphasized that he took the drug according to a doctor's prescription. Therefore, his actions are recorded not as a deliberate violation of the law, but as a state of medical need.

Nevertheless, such cases are not excused under the strict rules of the UFC. As a result, Temirov withdrew from the battles for a year.

For information, 27-year-old Ramazon Temirov has had two fights in the UFC octagon so far and won both. His performances aroused great interest among local and international MMA fans. A one-year disqualification could be a serious obstacle to a young fighter's career.

At the same time, experts are confident that he will return to sports and continue his path.
