At the youth World Cup taking place in Chile, the names of the teams reaching the final have been determined. The semifinals produced unexpected results — Morocco defeated France in a penalty shootout, while Argentina won by the narrowest margin over Colombia in a Latin American derby.
The clash between Morocco and France was very intense. Regular time ended 1–1 — an own goal by the French player Olmeta went to the Africans’ tally, and Michel equalized for France. In the penalty shootout, Morocco’s players did not miss and, winning 5–4, advanced to the final.
