In the 4th round match of the Elite Asian Champions League, held at the Central Stadium in Karshi, the "Nasaf" team lost to the UAE club "Al Wahda" with a score of 1:2. Sardor Bahromov's goal, driven by his strong will, also failed to save the team from defeat. At the post-match press conference, the team's head coach, Ro'ziqul Berdiyev, commented on the team's condition, the reasons for the defeat, and future plans, according to championat.asia.
At the beginning of his speech, the experienced coach spoke about the difficult course of the game:
"It was known beforehand that this dispute would be difficult. We are also in a physically challenging phase. The guys gave their all on the field, but in some situations, fatigue had its effect. In two standard defensive positions, we gave the opponent a chance, and in such games, this is immediately punished. This is the result of inattention. Of course, we will analyze it, it is necessary to eliminate the mistakes."
Berdiyev also commented on goalkeeper Abduvokhid Nematov:
"Abduvohid is a good goalkeeper, but something is affecting him. I can't say for sure whether this is pressure or lack of competition. However, it is not right to blame only him. Everyone is equally responsible for defeat. Because football is a team game. One person's mistake affects the result of the entire team. We will think about it."
The coach also commented on the team's international capabilities:
"Every match in the elite ACL is a great experience for us. Unfortunately, four rounds have passed, but there are no points. This is a signal for us to draw conclusions. To speak for themselves in Asia, twice as strong legionnaires are needed. The level of competition here is very high, without a strong composition it is impossible to achieve a result. But it must be admitted that finding a good foreign player is not easy."
Some journalists asked questions about the national championship. Before answering this question, Berdiyev gave a peculiar comment:
"Now we are at a press conference after the international competition. Therefore, I don't think it's right to talk about the national championship. But despite this, I'll say - Nasaf still has the best chance. We have not retreated from the fight for the championship, and we will never abandon this intention. We are at a difficult stage now, but it is at such moments that the character of the team manifests itself."
Despite the fact that the "Nasaf" team has lost four matches in the current situation, it can be seen from Berdiyev's words that the team's spirit is not broken. In his opinion, every defeat should be a lesson for analysis and development.
Fans, however, expect recovery and a strong return from the team in the following rounds. There is great hope that the "Markaziy" stadium in Karshi will once again witness the victorious moments of the "dragons."
