Robert Lewandowski scored three goals on Sunday in Barcelona's match against Celta (4–2). The Polish star successfully converted a penalty in the 10th minute and scored goals from open play in the 37th and 73rd minutes.

According to Opta, the Barcelona striker (37 years and 80 days old) became the third-oldest player to net a hat-trick in La Liga in the 21st century. Ahead of him are Jorge Molina (39 years and 241 days) and Joaquin Sanchez (38 years and 140 days).

In the current Spanish championship’s top scorer race, Lewandowski is tied for second place with Atletico forward Julian Alvarez, with each recording seven goals. The rankings are led by Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, who has scored 13 goals.
