Italian club Atalanta has ended its partnership with Croatian specialist Ivan Jurić, who was appointed head coach of the team in the summer. The club's press service officially announced this.
Yurich's career was very short-lived - he resigned before even six months had passed under the leadership of the team. The coach lost the management's trust after an unexpected defeat in the last match for the team, according to Italian journalists.
Atalanta soon announced the name of a new head coach - Raffaele Palladino will now lead the team. His last job was at Fiorentina, where he had been successful for one season.
According to reports, Palladino advocates for a complete restructuring of the team and giving young talents more opportunities. The club's management emphasizes that his style aligns with Atalanta's philosophy.
Meanwhile, Ivan Yurich is currently being touted in Europe as a "short-term but intense" coach. He previously played for English Premier League club Southampton, but was dismissed last season due to poor team results.
In his time, Yurich also managed the "Roma" team, and it was during this period that he became known as the coach who gave Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov the least playing time. This incident sparked widespread discussion among fans.
Football fans are eagerly awaiting the start of a new era at Atalanta. Palladino's management style is expected to breathe new life into the team, especially increasing the dynamism of team play and creativity in attack.
With this, Atalanta entered a serious renewal phase ahead of the winter competitions. The new head coach's first match will be against Torino next week.
