The head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Fabio Cannavaro, participated in a press conference after a valuable victory against Egypt and shared his important thoughts on the game. The Italian specialist expressed satisfaction with his team's performance and emphasized the players' hard work and dedication.
According to him, the players are working tirelessly every day on the path to full development, and this work is clearly visible in their actions on the field. Cannavaro said how difficult it would be to play against high-level players, especially like Egypt.
"I'm very pleased with my players. Ever since I joined the national team, they've been trying their best. Every day they strive to learn something new and improve the game. Our opponent today, Egypt, is a team with top-level players. It's not easy to play against them, but our team acted carefully from the very first minutes of the game. We played closely, covering all the zones, even in the first goal, the second goal, and even without the ball," Cannavaro said.
At the same time, the coach did not hide his concern about the team's physical fitness. He emphasized that all players are putting in a lot of effort on the field, and improving this situation remains one of the team's main tasks.
About Urunov's condition
At the press conference, the issue of Oston Urunov's participation in the final against Iran was also raised. Cannavaro did not give a definitive answer on this matter:
"I don't know (laughs). Oston was very tired. He did everything he could on the field. Since he hasn't been back from injury for long, he still needs to improve his physical condition," said the coach.
About the final against Iran
Cannavaro also commented on Iran, the opponent in the final:
"Iran is one of the strongest teams in Asia. We deeply respect them. But we will reach the final with one goal - to create problems for the opponent. I believe we can create difficulties for them," he said.
Is there a plan to control Mohamed Salah?
The coach was also asked about the team's defense and tactics against Salah. Cannavaro spoke openly about this:
"It's impossible to fully protect Muhammad Salah. But we tried to limit the capabilities of players of this level. We worked very well without the ball. However, if you allow one or two shots against teams of this level, they will take advantage of this opportunity. There were dangerous situations, but there were no very big threats. This was important to me," Kannavaro said.

One of the most interesting questions of the press conference was about why Cannavaro chose to manage the Uzbekistan national team.
"I saw what work is being done in Uzbekistan. They are paying great attention to young players, and the team relies mainly on local players. This was a very pleasant and interesting project for me. That's why I chose Uzbekistan," said the Italian specialist.
