Italy and Other Teams Learn Their Playoff Opponents

The draw ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup (UEFA Zone) playoff matches took place at FIFA's headquarters in Zurich. As a result of the draw, four groups, each offering one remaining spot, have been determined.

Below are the draw results. Path A: Semifinals: Italy – Northern Ireland Wales – Bosnia and Herzegovina Final: Wales / Bosnia and Herzegovina – Italy / Northern Ireland Path B: Semifinals: Ukraine – Sweden Poland – Albania Final: Ukraine / Sweden – Poland / Albania Path C: Semifinals: Turkey – Romania Slovakia – Kosovo Final: Slovakia / Kosovo – Turkey / Romania Path D: Semifinals: Denmark – North Macedonia Czech Republic – Ireland Final: Czech Republic / Ireland – Denmark / North Macedonia The semifinals will be held on March 26, while the finals are scheduled for March 31.
