Sweden's Coach: Away Game Will Be Tough but Luck Is on Our Side

The head coach of Sweden's national team, Graham Potter, commented on the draw results for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification play-off stage. Sweden is set to face Ukraine in the semi-finals.
"Now we know who we'll be playing against, and we are eagerly anticipating this clash. There’s still plenty of time before the match, but I believe that time will fly by very quickly.
Away games are always challenging, but we’ve got luck on our side: if we manage to defeat Ukraine, the decisive match will take place on Swedish soil," Potter said in an interview with "Aftonbladet." Despite finishing fourth, the last position in their qualifying group, Sweden advanced to the play-offs thanks to their performance in the Nations League.
The winner of this pairing will face either Poland or Albania in the final. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
