The future of Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior remains uncertain and continues to be a topic of discussion. His current contract with "Real Madrid" is valid until mid-2027.
At the end of October, Vinicius informed "Real" president Florentino Perez that extending the contract is not the best option for him. Reports suggest this is due to issues in his relationship with coach Xabi Alonso.
According to The Athletic, "Real" offered Vinicius a net annual salary of 20 million euros, but the proposal was rejected. The club has requested the player to state his financial demands.
Vinicius's representatives have demanded a "historic contract," proposing a package comparable to Cristiano Ronaldo's level — an annual salary of 30 million euros plus bonuses. Additionally, an extra bonus for contract renewal has been requested, although "Real" has reportedly never granted such a bonus to a player.
Further negotiations with Vinicius were held before the start of the 2025/2026 season, but these discussions once again ended without any result.
