During the Russian Cup, the unusual action of Krasnodar midfielder Nikita Krivtsov while celebrating a goal cost him dearly. After scoring against Orenburg in the 4th minute, the player put on a Spider-Man mask on the field — as a result, the referee immediately showed him a yellow card.
According to the club’s head coach, Murad Musaev, Krivtsov was also fined according to internal regulations. The player admitted his behavior and apologized to the team.
Krasnodar finished the match confidently, winning 4:0. But Krivtsov’s masked celebration cost him again: he already had one yellow card, and now he will miss the first semifinal match against CSKA.
The match at Ozon Arena became a real show for the fans, but the Spider-Man celebration once again proved that such actions have no place in football rules.
