Sindarov wrote history, and now to new heights...

Javokhir Sindarov, who has been in the spotlight of world chess since his youth for many years, recorded another historic achievement at the World Cup final in Qatar. The 19-year-old skilled grandmaster won the cup, defeating his Chinese opponent Wei Yi in the decisive ring, and inscribed his name in golden letters as the youngest champion in history.

However, Sindarov himself sees this victory not as a road to the finish line, but as the starting point of his long and serious career.

She said in her post-final interview:

"Of course, I'm very happy. But this is only the beginning. The current main goal is to reach the rating threshold of 2750 Elo. My biggest dream is to win the contenders' tournament and compete for the world championship."

If Javohir reaches this milestone, he could have a historic clash with the current world champion, D. Gukesh. He is also likely to face his peer Rameshbabu Pragnanandha from India, who is expected to become the winner of the FIDE Circuit.

Sindarov also gave a high assessment of the Indian chess school:

"Indian youth are growing very quickly. We also have enough talented players in Uzbekistan. In the next 10 years, India and Uzbekistan will constantly compete in the Chess Olympiad and major competitions," he noted.

It's worth noting that India is a kind of lucky country for Javohir. It was here that he, together with the Uzbekistan national team, achieved a world-renowned victory at the 2022 Chess Olympiad in Chennai. Based on this, the young maestro also plans to return to India.

"In the next two to three months, I will participate in the Global Chess League and Tata Steel Chess India," he said.

In jewels, the spirit is high, the goal is big, and the step is firm. There is growing confidence that the next sensation in the world of chess will be the emergence of a young talent from Uzbekistan.
