On Sunday, the “Nice” team suffered a 1-3 defeat in an away match against “Lorient.” Although they opened the scoring first, they could not secure a victory.
According to Foot Mercato, after the match, the team’s bus was stopped by around 400 angry fans on its way back. The supporters demanded that the players get off the bus to answer for their performance.
Jeremie Boga and Terem Moffi became the main targets of the fans’ ire. Boga was reprimanded for inviting “Marseille” supporters to Nice’s stadium, while Moffi was criticized for being in high spirits after the loss.
These players were physically assaulted – they were kicked, punched, and spat on. The club’s sports director also faced attacks from the fans, but the situation calmed down after the intervention of the security service.
It is reported that the “Nice” players were deeply shocked by this incident.
