As you know, the men's World Championship, held under the auspices of the IBA organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is in full swing. The Uzbekistan national team is taking a worthy part in this prestigious competition, where the best leather glove masters from all over the world are demonstrating their skill and enthusiasm.
Today's schedule includes fights of four of our boxers, among which the participation of Arman Makhanov in the +92 kg weight category deserves special attention.
Already in the second round of the competition, Arman stepped into the fight with increasing intensity and managed to knock down his opponent Andre Thompson (IBA-PRO-2) with a clear advantage. Although Thompson regained consciousness and continued fighting, it was very difficult for him to stop Makhanov's pressure and precise strikes.
As soon as the third round began, our compatriot took control of the situation according to the plan. As a result of the directed powerful blow, the opponent could no longer continue the fight. The referee stopped the fight, and Arman Makhanov advanced to the next stage by knockout.
This victory brought great spiritual uplift not only to our national team, but also to the prestige of the Uzbek boxing school. During the competition, Makhanov's convincing victory further strengthened the fans' confidence.
The current result indicates that among our national team there are boxers who can compete strongly and act confidently on the big stage. It is clear that the next fights in the rings of Dubai will also be intense, and we look forward to our compatriot's new victories on this path.
