Luis Carrión Matches Oviedo's Worst Start


In the 16th round of the Italian championship, Oviedo suffered yet another defeat. The team lost 4-0 to Sevilla.

For Luis Carrión, who was appointed as Oviedo's head coach this season, this marked his eighth consecutive match in charge without a victory. During this run, Oviedo has drawn four times and lost four times.

These statistics make it one of the most unsuccessful managerial debuts in the history of the Asturias-based club. The last time a coach failed to win in their first eight matches for Oviedo was in 1941, when Oscar Alvarez managed two draws and six defeats during his start.

In the next round, Oviedo will face Celta. The match is scheduled for December 20.
