Yuriy Syomin Comments on Safonov's Injury

On Friday, PSG announced that Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov will be unable to play for a period of time due to a hand fracture. According to the club, the player's condition will be reassessed in three to four weeks.

Renowned coach Yuri Syomin also commented on Safonov's injury. He stated that this is part of a professional athlete's career.

Syomin wished Matvey patience and expressed hope that he will undergo a quality rehabilitation period. The coach emphasized that if Safonov works properly and fully recovers, he will return as the main goalkeeper.

PSG is set to face Vende Fontene in the French Cup on Saturday, December 20. This will be Luis Enrique's team's final match of 2025.
