Union secures last-minute victory in Cologne away match

In the 15th round of the German Bundesliga, Cologne hosted Union Berlin at their home ground. Despite the home team's dominance in ball possession, the match saw few dangerous moments, and both teams registered only a limited number of shots.

The first major incident occurred in the middle of the second half: following a corner kick, Leopold Querfeld directed a header towards the goal, but the goalkeeper made the save. In the 83rd minute, Cologne was reduced to 10 men as Rav van den Berg was sent off for handling the ball to stop an attack.

In the first minute of added time, although Union Berlin’s corner did not go as planned, during the continuation of the episode, András Schäfer struck a precise long-range shot to open the score. As a result, Union Berlin secured a 0–1 victory.
