Chelsea thrash Charlton 5-1 to reach the FA Cup round of 32

In the FA Cup third round, Chelsea beat Charlton 5-1 away from home to progress to the next stage. The win was especially significant for the London club as it marked Liam Rosenior’s debut match in charge of Chelsea, and it proved a successful one.
