The central clash of the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia ended in Bergamo with an unexpected but very hard shot. Juventus ended their campaign in the tournament at the same stage, conceding three unanswered goals in an away game against Atalanta.
The match took place at the Athleti Azzurri d'Italia stadium on February 5th, and in the very first half, the old lady's affairs became complicated. In the 27th minute, the hosts earned a penalty, and Skamakka calmly capitalized on the opportunity to open the scoring. This goal boosted confidence in Atalanta and increased pressure on Juventus.
In the second half, the Turin side tried to change the situation, making substitutions, but control remained in the hands of the Bergamo team. In the 77th minute, Sulemana brought the score to 2-0. Pashalic sealed the victory in the 85th minute, 3-0.
With this victory, Atalanta secured their place in the semi-finals. The Bergamo club will now face the winner of the Bologna-Lazio match in the next round.
