Istanbul has always been a city of contradictions, big ambitions and "big names". However, in the 2025-2026 season, the biggest sensation is not the expected stars, but one Uzbek striker.
We are talking about Eldor Shomurodov.
Usually, when you look at the top scorers in the Super League, your eyes automatically look for superstars who have "fallen from the sky". It would seem that big names like Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi or skilled players like Marco Asensio and Anderson Talisca should be at the forefront. But the real picture is different: at the top is Eldor, who is respected for his consistency, hard work and preparation.
