The updated FIDE rating table for March generated significant interest in the chess world. A number of important changes were observed in the new list, and one of the most noteworthy innovations was, of course, the name of Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov from Uzbekistan.
According to the updated rating, Nodirbek Abdusattorov added 20 points at once. This growth allowed him not only to improve his personal indicators, but also to rise even higher in the world ranking table. Most importantly, our compatriot jumped 7 positions and entered the top 5 strongest chess players in the world.
According to the rating data in the image, Nodirbek has currently risen to 5th place with a rating of 2771. This is a huge achievement, because entering the top five in world chess is a huge achievement for any chess player. Moreover, this growth is the result of Nodirbek's consistent and reliable performances in recent times.
There are also changes in the rankings of world leaders in March. As usual, Norwegian star Magnus Carlsen holds the top spot. Its rating is 2840. In second place is the renowned American grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura, who remains at the forefront with a rating of 2810. Third place went to another representative of the USA - Fabiano Caruana. Its rating was recorded at 2795.
It's clear that the competition around the top ten was quite intense. According to reports, Sergey Karyakin has returned to the top ten chess players in the world with a rating of 2750. This was also one of the significant changes in the rating.
At the same time, Indian talents Gukesh Dommaraju and Arjun Erigaisi, who have been at the top of the list in recent months, this time dropped out of the top 10. This means that competition in the rating race is intensifying, and it is clear that every tournament, every game is of great importance.
Looking at the updated table, German representative Vincent Kaimer is in 4th place with a rating of 2776. Nodirbek stands behind him with a very small difference. This means that in the coming months our compatriot will be able to seriously fight for even higher positions. In 6th place is the talented French grandmaster Alireza Firouja with a rating of 2759.
In short, FIDE's March rating brought very joyful news for Uzbek chess. Nodirbek Abdusattorov's inclusion in the top 5 became not only his personal success, but also another vivid proof of the potential of the Uzbek chess school.
