Seven Uzbek boxers advanced to the semi-finals of the Thailand tournament

The youth international boxing tournament “Futures Cup” is being held in Bangkok, Thailand. Both Uzbek national teams are participating, showcasing skill, determination, and competitive spirit.

Today marked the semifinals stage. Ten Uzbek boxers competed throughout the day, demonstrating courage and readiness in the ring.

In the 48 kg category, Maftuna Musurmonova faced North Korean athlete Yu Gyong Kim, unfortunately losing 1:4.

In the 60 kg quarterfinal, Rushanabonu Isoeva defeated Slovak competitor Karolina Kollarova 3:2 to reach the semifinals.

In the 50 kg category, Abdugani Yorqinjonov overcame Thai boxer Thitiphan Hamrae 5:0 and also advanced to the semifinals.

In the 55 kg weight class, Bekzod Ismoiljonov lost to Mexican boxer Jonathan Bibriesca 2:3 by judges’ decision.

In the 85 kg category, Sardorbek Bahromxojaev defeated Kyrgyz athlete Ibrahim Bakalov 5:0.

In the 90 kg weight class, Asadbek Sultonboev triumphed over Panamanian Norman Simmons 5:0 and advanced to the semifinals.

In the 51 kg division, Nazokat Mardonova defeated Jordanian boxer Tala Hussein 5:0.

In the 65 kg first-round match, Sevara Mamatova achieved a technical knockout against Senegalese athlete Soda Foye.

In the 65 kg quarterfinal, Ibrohim Shokirjonov lost to Japanese competitor Kunimitsu Honjo 0:5.

In the 75 kg category, Suhrob Rahmatullaev defeated Algerian Mohamed Moncef 5:0 and secured a semifinal spot.

According to the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, these results provide valuable experience for the young athletes, helping them gain international exposure. Fans eagerly anticipate their continued success.
