The head coach of Real Madrid Alvaro Arbeloa has decided to give rest to several players ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg against Bayern Munich.
According to this decision, three key defenders were left out of the squad for the La Liga match against Girona. Among them are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alvaro Carreras and Antonio Rüdiger.

The Champions League second-leg match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will take place in the night between April 15 and 16 in Munich. In the first match, the Madrid side lost 1–2 at the “Santiago Bernabeu”.
